Here are just a few reasons people love Gainbridge.

Gainbridge℠ is a digital platform for buying annuities directly, without an agent.
An annuity is a contract with an insurance company that can pay you a guaranteed interest rate for a set period. It's a product that has traditionally been sold through agents and brokers who earn a commission on the sale. We removed that layer, which is how we can offer higher rates than you'll typically find through an advisor.
You open and manage your account online. Our experienced team is available by phone if you want to talk to someone.
There isn’t a hidden one, but here’s what you should consider when evaluating annuities.
Your money is committed for the term you choose, whether that’s 1 year or 10. Each year you can withdraw up to 10% of what you’ve put into terms without a charge, and anything in your Cash Wallet is available anytime with no fee. Taxes may still apply to those withdrawals. Beyond that, taking money out before a term ends costs you an early withdrawal fee and, in most states, a market value adjustment as well.
Those charges can mean you get back less than you put in, depending on how rates have moved and how early you withdraw. A market value adjustment can also work in your favor if rates have fallen. That’s the tradeoff for a guaranteed rate. If you leave the money in through the end of your term, those charges don’t apply.
Your rate is guaranteed for your term, not forever. When a term ends, you can withdraw your money or renew at whatever rates are current then, which could be higher or lower.
And this isn’t a bank account. It’s an insurance contract, so it isn’t FDIC insured. It’s backed by the claims-paying ability and financial strength of the issuing insurance company.
If you want to talk any of this through, give us a call. You’ll reach an experienced person on our team, not a salesperson working on commission.
Withdrawals of taxable amounts from any Retirement Flex account are subject to ordinary income tax and may be subject to a 10% federal income tax penalty, unless an exception applies.
Flex is a flexible premium individual deferred annuity that lets you choose how long to commit your money and add more whenever you want.
You pick a term between 1 and 10 years and lock in a rate for that period. You can open an account with as little as $100 and add money at any time, in amounts as small as $50, without filling out a new application. For Retirement Flex qualified accounts, annual IRS contribution limits apply (rollovers and transfers don’t count toward them).
Each deposit you commit to a term earns its own rate for its own length of time. Money you’re not ready to commit sits in your Cash Wallet, where it earns interest and stays available.
There are no account fees and no sales commissions.
Withdrawals of taxable amounts from Retirement Flex are subject to ordinary income tax and, if taken before age 59½, a 10% federal income tax penalty. If you withdraw more than the free amount before a term ends, an early withdrawal fee and, in most states, a market value adjustment may apply. If your Cash Wallet is in Retirement Flex, any withdrawal before age 59½ may result in an IRS early withdrawal tax penalty. You are taxed annually for Flex because your money does not grow tax-deferred.
Some of your money can be withdrawn at no cost. Taking more than that out of a term before it ends comes with a charge.
Money in your Cash Wallet is available anytime with no charge. Beyond that, you can withdraw up to 10% of your term balances each calendar year without a charge, and there's no charge on money withdrawn in the 30 days before a term ends.
Anything above that comes with an early withdrawal fee, and in most states a market value adjustment, which can raise or lower what you receive. The fee depends on how long your term is and how far into it you are, and you'll see the exact amount before you confirm a withdrawal.
Taxes are separate from these charges, and apply even when there’s no fee. Taxable amounts ithdrawan from a Retirement Flex account are taxed as ordinary income, with a possible additional IRS 10% penalty if withdrawn before age 59½.
There's also a 30-day window after your contract is issued when you can cancel and get your money back. That window runs from your contract date, not from each deposit, so adding money later doesn't start a new one.
You can see what a withdrawal would cost before you confirm it, and our customer service team is available by phone if you want to talk it through first.
$100 to open, and you can add as little as $50 at a time.
There's no minimum for any single term, so you can split one deposit across several if you want.
